This is an early self portrait.  Taken in 1990, it was when I was first experimenting with infrared film.  This film is sensitive to light below the frequencies of the visible spectrum.  The photo to the right was taken using only the glow of an electric stove as the light source.  This shows how when an electric burner is visibly glowing a dim red, it is producing a very bright infrared light.
