Victoria, the capitol of British Columbia is one of my favorite NW cities.   The Ferry ride over from Washington is beautiful, and the favorable exchange rate with Canada makes for very affordable quality accomidations.  Victoria also has a lot of kind of strange attractions around the Inner Harbour area.  The Insect Zoo is definately one of the most interesting.
