In general I prefer to work in black and white. When I do use color I often feel
the need to use it surrealistically. In this case the color is so bizarre because
the image was shot on slide film and then cross-processed as if it were print film.
This creates a negative with a strange tonality and shifted color balance.
It's not an effect that is desirable in all situations, but I liked the way it
