I was photographing the State wrestling tournament this weekend here is Portland.  Tonight I photographed the championship round for the 4A division.  When one of my matches ended quickly, I took out my digital camera and snapped these photos of the 3A match going on at the next mat over.  This was the 215 pound weight class.  Over 6000 people from all over Oregon came to see these championship rounds tonight.  Photographically, it was a pretty intense experience. So much drama, so much pain.  Two weeks ago I had never seen a high school wrestling match.  Now I've seen a couple of hundred of them.  But tonight was a blast.   It seems that the higher the stakes the more fun it is to shoot.
