Though it is hard to see her, this is a portrait of noted photographer Barbara Bordnick.  I assisted a workshop of hers last year at the Santa Fe Photography Workshops.  Based in New York, she is known for her portrait and commercial photography.  This photo was taken while out on location.  She was a demanding instructor to work with, but I had a lot of admiration for her and the contributions she has made to photography--these include being the first female president of a major photographic professional organization.
