The St. Johns bridge is a pretty significant part of my life.  I see it out my window from my bed, and is visible from every part of the front area of my home.   I also drive across it to get almost anywhere.  Often I'll traverse that span 6 times in a day.  As you drive across this bridge there is a splendid view of the Willamette River and the Portland valley.  I carried my view camera up to near the mid point of the bridge to take the photo at the right.  I've heard that the bridge is suspended 205 feet above the water.
