Last fall when I was traveling on the East Coast, I spent several days in
Providence Rhode Island. I was photographing the city for the purpose of creating a
virtual tour. One thing that really fascinated me about Providence was collection of
Potato Head sculptures scattered around the downtown area. Apparently the Mr. Potato
Head toy is a native of Rhode Island, and to celebrate that, several stylized, Potato Head
statues were commissioned by different artist to glorify various aspects of life in the
smallest state. To the right are a few of my favorite Potatoes.
