One of my favorite places to take short vacations is Victoria, BC. It's a beautiful little city on Vancouver Island and is also the capitol of British Columbia. It has a real European feel to it. From Port Angeles, WA it is about a 3 hour ferry ride. The great thing about it is that when the dollar is strong, traveling there is very cheap. A very quaint B&B in the heart of town was about $40.00 American a night including the gourmet breakfast. And that was a room for two with a private bath. If you ever go there be sure to see the Insect Zoo.
