One of the stranger things I've seen living here in North Portland was when the 20 foot man came by on his barge.  He was a 20 foot high marinette.  People on the barge ran him by pulling ropes so that he would dance and play his electric guitar.   They pulled up to the dock under the St. John's Bridge for about an hour and played loud music over some crackly speakers then they floated on to visit parks downtown.
