.  This is a photo I took two days ago for an article about the Oregon Liquor Commission.  This father and daughter run a liquor store in NE Portland called Hollywood Liquor.  The man's name is Mark and the store, which was the first liquor store in the state of Oregon after Prohibition ended, was opened by Mark's father in 1934.  

I had a little bit of an ethical crisis about this photo.  It is actually a composite of two pictures.  When I first saw this picture I really liked it except for Mark's expression.  The next photo, taken just a few seconds later was not as good except that Mark's expression was better.  So I took the head from that second photo and inserted it into this photo to create the picture you see here. 

  Is it wrong to digitally  alter images used in journalism?  I thought it might be, but in this case I let my sense of aesthetics win out and the composite was submitted to the paper.  Do you think this was a breech of journalistic integrity?
