While back East on an assignment this fall I spent about a week on Cape Cod.  I had always wanted to go on a whale watching trip, so I thought what better time than while I was a paid tourist.  These photos were taken on a "Dolphin Fleet" Whale watching boat about 20 miles off of Provincetown at the tip of the Cape.  We were pretty lucky in that we had two hump back whales, a mother and cub, playing right around the boat for the whole time we were out at sea.  They were very close.  I even had to wipe their spray off my lens a couple of times.
